A man was attacked and his marijuana stolen Sunday afternoon just north of Westfield Vancouver mall.

At 4:42 p.m., Vancouver police were dispatched to the 9000 block of Northeast 54th Street on a report of a strong-arm robbery.

The victim apparently had met with a group of up to four other men, some of whom “beat him up and robbed him of his marijuana,” Vancouver police Sgt. Mike Davis said. The man suffered what looked like a fractured jaw, and a “small amount” of pot was taken, Davis said.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital, Davis said. His injuries were not life-threatening.

The suspects fled the scene and had not been found by Sunday night. Police are investigating the incident, Davis said.
