The American Heart Association is looking for a heart-healthy woman who is in the process of making herself over and improving her health.
The heart association’s Go Red For Women movement and Macy’s will spotlight one local woman for a Go Red Total Makeover, which includes a $500 Macy’s gift card and an opportunity to share her story.
Nominees should be local women who have taken action to improve their heart health. Nominations can be submitted to the American Heart Association online, www.heart.org/PDXGoesRed, until 8 a.m. Jan. 26. Self-nominations are also accepted.
The public Go Red Total Makeover event is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Macy’s Downtown Portland, 621 S.W. Fifth Ave. Each event attendee will receive an event passport to be stamped at heart-healthy stations throughout the store. Completed passports will be entered into a drawing for a $250 Macy’s gift card.
The event coincides with Macy’s annual Wear Red Sale where customers receive a 10 percent discount for wearing red or purchasing a red dress pin in the store.
