Predicting success, failure subject of free WSUV event

Thomas Thurston, a Portland-based data scientist and venture capitalist, will discuss how algorithms can be used to predict business success or failure at Washington State University Vancouver’s next Business Growth MAP Alliance Forum on Jan. 21.

Thurston, CEO at Growth Science, uses data modeling to help firms improve strategies and manage risks involving new companies and innovations.

Thurston is also a partner at WR Hambrecht + Co., a board member at Ironstone Group, a member of the Harvard Business School Forum for Growth and Innovation, and a fellow at the Disruptor Foundation.
