Boys basketball: Battle Ground 53, Skyview 40

Devin Johnson had 19 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks as the Tigers’ defense shut down Skyview for a 4A GSHL win.

“I felt like we took a big step forward tonight,” Battle Ground coach Wes Armstrong said. “We played one of our better games. It was a good win over a good Skyview team.”

Kellen Butler added seven points and four assists for the Tigers.

Mason Scheidel paced Skyview with 12 points, while Marcus Lord had 11.
