Boys basketball: Fort Vancouver 64, Kelso 55

Four players scored in double figures as the host Trappers opened Class 3A Greater St. Helens League play with a win.

Fort Vancouver (10-3 overall) outscored Kelso by six in the third quarter to establish the lead.

Malachi King led the Trappers with 19 points.

David Bishop added 13 points and made four steals. Jordan Suell had 13 points and six rebounds and Will Doty 11 points and five rebounds. Jorge Regalado had six assists for Fort.

The Trappers had 10 steals as the Hilanders made 17 turnovers. Fort Vancouver outrebounded Kelso 32-25.

Nate Solomon led Kelso (8-5) with 16 points.
