Three injured in head-on crash north of Battle Ground

Three people were injured in a head-on crash allegedly caused by an intoxicated driver Wednesday night north of Battle Ground.

Jeffrey Tester, 32, of Vader was driving a white 2004 Nissan Altima south on state Highway 503 at about 5:15 p.m. when the vehicle reportedly crossed the centerline and struck a northbound white 2007 Ford F-150 headon, according to Washington State Patrol.

Following the crash, which happened about seven miles north of Battle Ground, both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lanes, according to state patrol. Traffic was blocked for about an hour.

The driver of the pickup, James C. Davison, 55, of Yacolt, was taken to Peace Health Southwest Medical Center ,where he was treated and released.

Tester and a passenger, Heather Johnson, 26, of Vader were also taken to the hospital. Johnson was treated and released but Tester’s condition was not available.

Tester was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants, possession of a stolen vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
