Regarding Mitt Romney’s metamorphosis from robber baron to anti-poverty crusader, I don’t doubt that he is a compassionate person, particularly as it is directed to those of his own faith. But his solutions for the effect of poverty on the general population would undoubtedly be more along the lines of ensuring that there is a soup kitchen on every poor farm, and comfy mattresses in all the debtors’ prisons’ cells.
As for any efforts on his part to un-tilt the economic playing field so as to be less advantageous to the wealthy, who is he kidding?
