The true colors of Republicans have come out — yellow bellies, cowards — to buck their own party. They might censure Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, for having the guts to do the right thing for her constituents. I thank God I am not a Republican. I would be so ashamed. Herrera Beutler should be thanked for trying to make this a better world.
Clark County Republican Party Chairman Kenny Smith seems to have forgotten that the purpose of his role is not to be an obstructionist, but to try to solve problems by working together, with everyone, not just one party.
It is time for Speaker of the House John Boehner and the rest of his party to quit trying to do everything to make President Obama look bad, and start trying to make workable solutions.
It is really too bad there are so few Republicans who can do that.
