Boys basketball: Woodland 57, La Center 54

Score — Ryan Sturdivan scored 18 points, including two free throws late to seal the non-league win over the Beavers.

Woodland jumped out to an early 14-3 lead. But La Center battled back to make the game close.

After missing a potential go-ahead shot in the final 30 seconds, Sturdivan buried two free throws to put Woodland up 57-54. La Center had a good look at a tying 3-pointer, but the shot did not fall.

Will Rice paced the Wildcats with 18 points, Jake Wise added 10 rebounds.
