Letter: Kudos to letter carrier

The Columbian
Published: January 28, 2015, 4:00pm

I would like to thank our U.S. Postal Service letter carrier, Bea, who stopped earlier this month and said that our elderly neighbor had not picked up her mail in several days. My neighbor and I went to the house to take a look and then decided to contact the sheriff’s office for a wellness check on our neighbor.

We found our neighbor deceased in the backyard. If our carrier had not cared enough to say something, our neighbor might still be there.
