Port offers tours of terminal sites

The Port of Vancouver is offering the public free, two-hour tours of its marine terminals and industrial sites.

For 2015, the port’s tour dates are:

• March 7, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

• April 21, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• May 21, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

• June 17, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• July 18, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

• Aug. 13, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The tours begin at the port’s administrative building, 3103 N.W. Lower River Road in Vancouver. Port staff will give a brief presentation about the port’s 103-year history and current projects. Afterward, people will take a bus tour of the port.

Government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, is required to attend. Cameras aren’t allowed. Reservations are required. To make one, call the port, 360-693-3611, or send email, RSVP@portvanusa.com.
