State of the County event set for March 12

Clark County councilors will deliver their annual State of the County address on March 12, officials said Friday.

Delivering remarks will be county Councilors David Madore, Tom Mielke and Jeanne Stewart. Also scheduled to speak are Sheriff Chuck Atkins and Acting County Manager Mark McCauley.

The event will run from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Skyview High School, 1300 N.W. 139th St. in the Salmon Creek area. The program begins at 4 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations. Last year’s food drive provided nearly 3,000 meals, according to the county.

County leaders will also recognize volunteers for their efforts in the past year, according to the county.
