Home prices in 20 cities increased 4.9 percent from April 2014, representing a slight slowing in the annual growth rate of home prices in the composite of 20 cities, including Portland-Vancouver, according to the newest S&P/Case-Shiller index of property values, released Tuesday.
The Portland-Vancouver region showed increases well above that 20-city composite, with a one-year increase through April of this year of 7.1 percent.
That increase was exceeded only Seattle, San Francisco, and Denver, with Denver showing the highest increase at 10.3 percent.
