Six people reportedly were injured in a crash between a C-Tran bus and a minivan Tuesday afternoon near Washougal.

The vehicles were both eastbound on Evergreen Highway just after noon when the minivan made a U-turn in front of the bus near Southeast 356th Avenue, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The crash knocked the minivan toward the nearby railroad tracks, according to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian.

Four people in the minivan were injured, including the driver, who sustained serious injuries, the sheriff’s office said. They were all taken to an area hospital.

Two passengers on the bus sustained injuries and also were taken to an area hospital.

None of the names of those involved in the crash, or the conditions of the patients, were released.

The collision is under investigation by the Clark County Sheriff’s Traffic Unit.
