• Clark County Veterans Assistance Center seeks volunteers to meet and greet veterans and direct visitors, after determining the type of assistance needed. Some record keeping is required.

• Evergreen Habitat for Humanity is looking for a Family Services and Support intern to help select partner families for the homeownership program.

• Gifts for our Community seeks customer service volunteers for Divine Consign and b.divine clothing boutique. An upholsterer assistant is needed to help tear down upholstery pieces, clean and organize. Some cutting and sewing experience preferred.

• Human Services Council seeks Bike to Work assistants at monthly Saturday trainings.

• REACH CDC is looking for Bingo callers to call numbers, verify winners, hand out prizes, and secure the room after the session.

• SCORE seeks an administrative volunteer for client scheduling and administrative tasks. Basic computer and telephone skills are helpful.

The city of Vancouver seeks to fill one vacancy on the Urban Forestry Commission.

The commission, made up of seven citizen members, assists the city’s Urban Forestry Program in its efforts to enhance Vancouver by managing and conserving trees. The Vancouver City Council appoints commission members. The commission meets from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month.

The city of Vancouver seeks to fill one vacancy on the City/County Telecommunications Commission. The commission advises the city council and the county commissioners on telecommunications and cable television issues, and meets quarterly at 3:30 p.m. on a first Wednesday. Applicants must be city residents and are encouraged to be subscribers to Comcast Cable. The vacancy is for a partial term, ending Dec. 31, 2016. To apply, visit www.cityofvancouver.us/boards. Washington State University Clark County Extension seeks volunteers Aug. 7-16 at the Clark County Fair’s Germ City exhibit, an interactive tent lit with black lights. Germ City shows visitors how to stay healthy through hand washing. Volunteers, in groups of three or four, receive fair entry and parking passes for the day, for every four-hour shift worked. There will be a brief training before the fair.

The Fort Vancouver National Trust is looking for 150 volunteers to help at the Columbia River Concours d’Elegance on Aug. 2. Assistance is needed with tickets at the gates and with traffic control. Shifts are a few hours long and volunteers will receive free admission and a parking pass. Volunteers must attend one of two 45-minute training sessions, at 5:30 p.m. July 15; or at 9:30 a.m. July 18.
