C-Tran released video of Tuesday’s crash between a bus and a minivan near Washougal that injured six people.

The vehicles were both eastbound on Evergreen Highway just after noon Tuesday when the minivan pulled off to the right side of the two-lane highway and immediately attempted to make a U-turn in front of the bus, the video footage shows.

The bus was unable to stop and crashed into the driver’s side of the minivan, knocking the minivan toward the nearby railroad tracks.

Four people in the minivan were injured, including its driver, and two passengers on the bus also were hurt, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said. The bus driver, 73-year-old Alan Halgren of Vancouver, was not injured. The minivan driver, Alexzandria Coles, 29, of Washougal, was listed in satisfactory condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center on Wednesday night.

No one else involved in the crash was identified.

The Sheriff’s Office’s traffic unit is investigating the crash and didn’t release any additional information on Wednesday. C-Tran said they’re also investigating the crash and examined the damaged bus on Wednesday.
