The CenteringPregnancy program at The Vancouver Clinic is one of five March of Dimes community grant recipients.

The Greater Oregon Chapter of March of Dimes awarded five grants to organizations working to improve infant and maternal health throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

The PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation received a $19,000 grant to help fund the second year of the CenteringPregnancy program, which is offered by The Vancouver Clinic in partnership with PeaceHealth Southwest.

The CenteringPregnancy program is a group prenatal care program that began last fall.

CenteringPregnancy is the only local program selected for funding; all others are in Oregon.

Other grants include $19,000 for Catholic Community Services in Marion County; $19,000 for the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center Foundation in Hillsboro; $5,000 for the Salem Hospital Foundation; and $8,000 for the Malheur County Health Department in Ontario.
