A wildfire burning northeast of Woodland grew overnight to about 90 acres, according to the state Department of Natural Resources.

The blaze, named the Colvin Creek Fire, was reported about noon Sunday near the intersection of Fredrickson Road and state Highway 503 in Cowlitz County and grew to at least 40 acres by Sunday evening.

Three helicopters, three air tankers and a ground crew were dispatched to fight the fire Sunday, and an incident management team was set up at Castle Rock Elementary School to help, DNR spokeswoman Janet Pearce said.
