Letter: Won’t be fooled by president again

Let me get this straight. President Obama trots out on television to talk about why this nuclear deal with Iran is so great and that we should trust him. Then he tells us that a brilliant Massachusetts Institute of Technology nuclear physicist and expert on these issues was part of the negotiating team.

Isn’t this the same president who came on television after the Affordable Care Act was passed and told us that we could keep our insurance if we liked it and could even keep our doctor if we wanted. We all know how that turned out. And if that wasn’t enough, we got to meet another brilliant MIT graduate who was able to get the ACA passed because of, as he put it, “the stupidity of the American voter.”

Attributed to President Abraham Lincoln is the quote, “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” I choose not to be fooled this time.
