Letter: Best candidate for port is Harrison

The Columbian
Published: July 23, 2015, 5:00pm

How about a hero as our new Port of Vancouver commissioner for District 2? Peter Harrison was awarded a Red Cross medal for saving me from a cardiac arrest. He knew what to do, and did it. More importantly, Harrison’s experience in the transportation and warehousing industry is relevant and important. As a systems analyst, he is our best candidate. He is well-prepared by regularly attending the port commission meetings focused on oil trains moving through Vancouver. He can address the port’s basic concerns of public business, safety and accountability. Access his website at www.vote-peter.com. I encourage you to compare Harrison to the other candidates. Then vote for the best.
