Letter: Vote for independent thinking

Many critics are claiming that Marc Boldt, who registers as an independent, is a Republican. Untrue. He is, and always was, an independent thinker who considers the needs and desires of his constituency before he proposes or votes on legislation.

When he was formerly a Clark County commissioner as a Republican, he refused to vote a straight party line, which the Clark County Republican Party apparently required. It was seemingly at that point that the aforementioned party snubbed him and supported his opponent.

Boldt, in my mind, is the best possible choice for county council chair.
