Education Foundation awards grants to school libraries

Battle Ground — The Battle Ground Education Foundation donated $8,000 for the purchase of library materials to various district schools.

The money was distributed in $500 grants to Amboy Middle School, Captain Strong Primary, Chief Umtuch Middle School, Daybreak Primary School, Daybreak Middle School, Glenwood Heights Primary School, Laurin Middle School, Maple Grove School, Pleasant Valley Primary School, Pleasant Valley Middle School, Prairie High School, Battle Ground High School, River HomeLink, Tukes Valley Primary School, Tukes Valley Middle School and Yacolt Primary School.

The grants were funded by the foundation in partnership with donations from Mill Creek Pub and Waste Connections, Inc.
