Ellsworth Springs — The women’s tea committee at the Church of the Good Shepherd raised $15,000 at its sixth annual Love, Laughter and Sharing tea and silent auction fundraiser on May 21.
Each year, the committee selects a local and a global organization donate the funds to.
This year, the money raised is going to the Assistance League of Southwest Washington and Habitat for Humanity. Prizes were awarded for guests in the best hats, and students at Mountain View High School made floral centerpieces for the event. Youth volunteers poured coffee for guests.
The event has grown from 55 guests meeting at the church to more than 170 women enjoying their tea at Green Willow Ranch.
