Ridgefield — The Fort Vancouver chapter of Daughters of Pioneers welcomed women from around the state to Clark County on May 20 and 21, as they played host to the 76th annual Daughters of Pioneers of Washington State Convention.

The convention was held at the historic Summit Grove Lodge and celebrated the theme of “Women of Brave Heart.” During the convention’s banquet, guests wore Victorian-era clothing to honor their ancestors.

The group also toured the Fort Vancouver Historical Costume Shop.
