Revenue agency to host small business workshop

Vancouver — The Washington State Department of Revenue is hosting a free workshop on June 17 in Vancouver to assist new and small business owners in preparing taxes.

Participants will learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, tax incentives, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements. Attendees receive a workbook and a reference guide to state rules and regulations. They also may earn one continuing professional education credit.

The workshop is from 9 a.m. to noon at the Department of Revenue’s training room, 8008 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd, Suite 340, Vancouver. Call 360-256-2060 or go online to register on the Department of Revenue’s workshop and education page, http://dor.wa.gov/Workshops.
