Walmart is accepting applications for about 200 employees to work in its new Orchards store, set to open this fall on Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard, east of 147th Avenue.

The retailer has opened a temporary hiring center at 10411 N.E. Coxley Drive, Suite 145. Applications for both full- and part-time positions are being accepted from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Interested applicants may also apply online at careers.walmart.com.

Walmart says it will offer a job to any eligible U.S. veteran honorably discharged from active duty since Memorial Day 2013, when the company made a public commitment to hire veterans. Interested veterans may find out more at walmartcareerswithamission.com.

The majority of new associates will begin work this summer to help prepare for the store’s fall opening.
