SEATTLE — A King County judge is suing her Carnation neighbors after she was violently attacked by their donkey.

The Seattle Times reports the attorney for 57-year-old Superior Court Judge Julie Spector said Monday the lawsuit was filed against Timothy and Mary Nelson after they had tried to settle out of court.

According to the lawsuit, Spector took her usual walk on the Nelsons’ property in February 2014. Spector stopped to feed carrots to the Nelsons’ donkey and had stepped back for a moment when the donkey plowed through the fence post. According to the lawsuit, Spector tried to protect her dog and was then bitten several times.

The extent of her injuries isn’t presently known.

According to the lawsuit, Spector is seeking damages for her injuries and loss of income.
