Letter: Outrage should motivate action

The absurd slaughter of fellow Christians around the world should be met with great outcry by all people of good will. Unless the recent mass beheadings of 21 Christians on a Libyan beach was a fake video, we should, individually, be either speechless or ashamed of our very ineptitude.

The Islamic State (and the gates of hell) will not prevail over the followers of the very Creator of every one of us. This great country will never bow to some 7th-century ignoramus; get real. Oh, and by the way, take away the fake caliph’s territory; there you go Sherlock, idiocy solved. So regain the territory before the poison seeps out to even more terra firma. Where the heck is Gen. George Patton when you need him?

Good thing we already know how the story ends; it’s the footnotes that need a little editing.
