Property owners have about two months to pay their first-installment property taxes to avoid fees and interest.

First-installment 2015 property tax statements have been mailed to property owners in Clark County. According to the Clark County Treasurer’s Office, 94,852 statements were mailed, as well as 73,846 postcards for taxpayers whose mortgage company pays their taxes, and 881 emailed statements.

Taxpayers who have not received their statement within 10 days are encouraged to call the treasurer’s office at 360-397-2252.

Taxpayers must pay their first-installment taxes by April 30, and are encouraged to use the return envelope included in their statement. Taxpayers can also pay online at www.clark.wa.gov/treasurer or by phone at 1-877-778-4606.

Credit card payments are assessed a 2.39 percent convenience fee, while electronic checking account payments are assessed a fee of $1 per transaction.
