Garrett Grayson is one of five NFL prospects invited to the Jon Gruden Quarterback Camp.

The Vancouver native just completed a college career that saw him set every major passing record at Colorado State.

In its sixth year, Gruden’s camp puts NFL prospects through individualized lesson plans that highlight each’s strengths and weaknesses. The whole process is documented by ESPN, for which Gruden works as an analyst.

“This is definitely a huge honor,” Grayson said in a statement posted on Colorado State’s website. “I grew up watching Coach Gruden with the Raiders and Bucs, and now the last couple years I’ve watched his show hoping one day I would be on it.”

Other quarterbacks invited to the camp are Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota of Oregon, Jameis Winston of Florida State, Brett Hundley of UCLA and Bryce Petty of Baylor.

“There’s a lot of parts of Colorado State’s system that I recognize, unlike a lot of college football that’s running up-tempo, no-huddle, spread-option football,” Gruden said. “There’s some principles at Colorado State that will serve Grayson well. He can run it. He can audible. He can get you out of trouble with his legs. He’s a darkhorse in this class.”

Most mock drafts project Grayson as a third- or fourth-round pick in the NFL Draft, a three-day event which begins April 30.
