Two people were injured Wednesday night in a wrong-way crash on state Highway 500 at St. Johns Boulevard, and a woman faces charges in the incident.

Mandy Rigby, 37, of Vancouver was driving west in the eastbound lanes of state Highway 500 when the vehicle she was driving, a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer, struck a 1999 Volvo 840 head-on, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers said both Rigby and the driver of the Volvo, Veniamin TsyTsyn, 23, of Vancouver, were injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. They were both listed in satisfactory condition Thursday morning.

Rigby faces a charge of vehicular assault, according to WSP.

The collision was reported minutes after 11 p.m. and blocked traffic for about three hours.
