Save the Date: Battle Ground singers are ‘In the Spotlight’

More than 25 student vocalists will take the stage for “In the Spotlight,” part of a classroom project with choir director Darcy Schmitt that was reminiscent of a television singing competition. The students will perform in a mix of solo and group singing acts at 1 and 7 p.m. today at Battle Ground High School, 300 W. Main St., Battle Ground. Admission is $5. www.battlegroundps.org

There will be two performances of “The Rocky Horror Show” at 7:30 and midnight tonight. This comedic stage musical is a tribute to science fiction and horror movies. The Clark College production encourages audience participation with prop bags sold at the door of the Decker Theatre, Frost Arts Center, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. Portland writer Lois Leveen will talk about her new novel, “Juliet’s Nurse,” which explore life, loss and love in 14th century Italy during the time of Shakespeare’s most famous couple. For dads and daughters of all ages, Northwest Family Services hosts its Father Daughter Dinner Dance. Celebrating Irish immigrant and pioneer educator Patrick “Paddy” Hough, the annual Paddy Hough Parade will take place March 17.
