A man was injured in a crash Saturday night when the car he was driving rolled on the freeway ramp from eastbound state Highway 500 to southbound Interstate 205 in Vancouver, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The single-vehicle crash happened just before midnight, troopers said in a press memo. The man, who was driving a Red 1993 Lincoln two-door, was not able to negotiate the onramp’s curve and lost control of the car, according to WSP.

The car struck the onramp’s barrier, flipped over the barrier, landed on its top and slid across I-205. It came to rest in the freeway’s left lane.

The man was not wearing a seat belt, according to WSP. He was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. The memo did not identify him.

Troopers are investigating the crash.
