Letter: Numb from overdose of negativity

The Columbian
Published: March 18, 2015, 12:00am

Unfortunately, the line has blurred between journalism, theatrics and politicians. None of these showmen look at themselves with any kind of reappraisal.

I read Editor Lou Brancaccio’s columns for the last year. He has beaten Columbian readers senseless with his David Madore-, Tom Mielke- and Don Benton-biased vendetta. I no longer care what he has to say on the issue.

Has Brancaccio seen any difference he’s made in county government that amounts to a hill of beans? Does he really think The Columbian readers want a continual dose of such negative tirades? Someone said all politics is local.

Please pick a more pressing subject to vent about. Let’s see — Iran with a nuclear bomb sworn to annihilate Israel; ISIS prepared to hop across the Mediterranean and strike Italy; the funny-money deficits; budgets our childish politicians in Washington, D.C., kick down the road; education and why it’s failing from the local to the national level.

Brancaccio, do you get the idea?
