Katie Schroeder had herself another fine performance, a performance that folks in Utah are probably smiling about, too.
Schroeder, a senior from Camas who has signed with Utah State, threw a no-hitter Wednesday, striking out 15 in a 6-0 non-league softball victory over Prairie.
She also hit a home run and a double while driving in three runs.
Schroeder and the Papermakers are 2-0. Schroeder threw a five-inning one-hitter in her first game, with 12 strikouts.
Wednesday’s line gives her 27 strikeouts in 12 innings this season.
Maddie Neely and Emma Jimenez each had three hits and drove in a run for the Papermakers.

• Austin Holcomb, Woodland baseball, hit a triple and a double to help the Beavers out-slug visiting Evergreen 10-9. Winning pitcher Cody Sheperd also homered.
• Leonard Barry, Skyview baseball, went 3 for 4 with a double, two runs and an RBI in Skyview’s 9-5 win over Heritage.
• Jordan Lester, Hockinson baseball, went 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBI in the Hawks’ 10-4 win over La Center.
• Abby England, La Center softball, pitched five innings and went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBI in the Wildcats’ 12-1 win over Heritage.
• Mitchell Pinney, Hockinson boys soccer, scored the Hawks’ lone goal in a 1-0 win over Prairie.
• Cody Schoene, Columbia River soccer, scored the Chieftains’ first goal in a 2-0 win over Ridgefield.
• Bishop Washington, Union soccer, scored the Titans’ loan goal in a 1-0 win over Washougal.
