A Battle Ground man was arrested after he allegedly drove a landscaping truck off the road in Ridgefield, damaging property in the process.

Darren D. Knippelberg, 30, was behind the wheel of a truck in the 2200 block of South Sevier Road at about 4 p.m. Tuesday when the vehicle drove off the roadway and struck some light poles, trees and a fence, according to Ridgefield Police Chief Carrie Greene.

Knippelberg was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants. Greene did not have an estimate for the amount of damage caused by the crash. Photos show the truck is owned by Woody’s Custom Landscape.
