Highlights of the ongoing exhibits and attractions around town

Clark County Historical Museum, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. 1511 Main St., Vancouver; $4; $3 for seniors and students; $2 for ages 6-18; free for ages 5 and younger. 360-993-5679 or www.cchmuseum.org

• “Food for Thought: Clark County’s Food History” examines the shifting landscape of food and the cultural traditions passed through generations.

Cedar Creek Grist Mill, 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays. 43907 N.E. Grist Mill Road, Woodland; Donations accepted. Built in 1876, the mill is one of the few braced-frame buildings left in Washington. 360-225-5832 or cedarcreekgristmill.com.

The Grotto, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. 8840 N.E. Skidmore St., Portland; Free for the lower gardens; $4.50, $3.50 for seniors, $2.50 for children ages 6-11 for upper-level gardens. Sixty-two acres of botanical gardens, more than 100 shrines, and sanctuaries for rest and relaxation on two levels. Fort Vancouver, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. 1001 E. Fifth St., Vancouver; $3; $5 per family; free for children 15 and younger. Fort Vancouver’s palisade and nine buildings have been reconstructed near their original locations. Two permanent galleries offer mementos of the area’s history as shared by local families. Self-guided walking tour maps of La Center are available on request.

• John Pollock exhibit, Learn about La Center pioneer and Washington Territory Legislator John Pollock, and visit his grave site, recently listed on the Washington Heritage Register of Historic Places. • Circus Zirkus, through May 31. Enter the big tent to perform in silly costumes, spin plates or try out the trapeze, with a three ring stage, concession carts and the backstage.
