LOS ANGELES — A judge has set bail at $25 million for former rap music mogul Marion “Suge” Knight, who is accused of running down and killing a man with his truck.

The amount was set Friday after a judge heard arguments from a prosecutor who noted Knight’s lengthy criminal history.

Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes noted that Knight was on bail in a robbery case when he struck two men in a parking lot in Compton.

Knight’s attorney Matthew Fletcher argued that Knight’s bail should be set at $2 million.

The 49-year-old co-founder of Death Row Records has pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run charges.

Knight fell after the hearing when deputies brought him back into the courtroom. His condition was not immediately known.
