Kindergarten registration for the 2015-16 school is April 20 to 24 in Battle Ground Public Schools. Children should be 5 years old before Sept. 1.
Parents can determine which school their child will attend by using the district’s online boundary map at battlegroundps.org or by calling the boundaries office at 360-885-6577.
To register their child, parents should bring verification of the child’s birthdate, immunization records and emergency contact information to their neighborhood school. School offices are open for kindergarten registration from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Registration materials and information is available at www.battlegroundps.org/parents-and-students/k12-registration-kl. Registration can take up to one hour.
All district schools offer half-day kindergarten at no charge. A tuition-based, full-day kindergarten option costing $2,900 is available at all primary schools except Yacolt Primary during the 2015-16 school year. Parents should call their neighborhood school for times and dates of kindergarten orientations and open house events.
