SEATAC — A man sought in the fatal shooting of his nephew in SeaTac has been arrested in California.

KCPQ-TV in Seattle reported that Robert Studer, 68, was taken into custody Saturday in Taft, Calif., about 30 miles outside Bakersfield.

There was no response when local law enforcement tried to make contact with Studer, so a SWAT team, bomb squad and crisis negotiation team were called in. Several hours later there was still no response, so the SWAT team sent in a robot.

Studer was lying on a bed. He was arrested without incident and taken to a hospital for treatment of an illness.

King County sheriff’s detectives were traveling to Taft to assist with the investigation. They had been looking for Studer since his 42-year-old nephew was found dead inside a business park in SeaTac on Thursday.
