A Vancouver man allegedly in possession of more than $50,000 in stolen property in a storage unit and vehicle pleaded not guilty Friday.

Dustin P. Medeiros, 30, appeared in Clark County Superior Court to be arraigned on more than 30 counts of first- and second-degree possession of stolen property, possession of stolen firearms, heroin and methamphetamine possession, and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver.

His trial is scheduled to begin June 22.

Medeiros was arrested April 23 following the first leg of a police investigation into stolen property.

The Vancouver Police Department’s East and West Neighborhood Response Teams served a search warrant that morning at a storage unit at 505 S.E. Hearthwood Blvd. The renter was listed as Medeiros. Another search warrant was served the following day on a vehicle belonging to Medeiros, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Superior Court.

A search of the storage unit turned up several high-end bicycles valued at several hundred to several thousand dollars, according to court records. Several of the bicycles were later found to be stolen. Police also recovered power tools, electronics, sporting goods, jewelry, firearms, musical instruments and hand tools, court documents said. Some of the items were recovered from Medeiros’ vehicle.

In addition to the stolen property, police allegedly found heroin and meth, as well as a digital scale and several small plastic bags.
