BRUSH PRAIRIE — The Center for Agriculture, Science and Environmental Education this month will host a free workshop on composting.
The event will help participants learn how to begin composting yard waste and kitchen waste. The workshop also will include a composting demonstration, according to organizers.
People must register for the workshop in advance through Columbia Springs Environmental Education Center, which is helping organize the event. Registration is available online at columbiasprings.org/mcr/workshops. Residents may also call Columbia Springs at 360-882-0936 ext. 224.
The composting workshop is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 9, at CASEE, 11104 N.E. 149th St., Brush Prairie.
