PORTLAND — About 60 firefighters worked through the night to contain a 100-acre wildfire north of Glendale, Ore.

Kyle Reed of the Douglas Forest Protective Association says the Peavine Creek fire was discovered Tuesday afternoon. It’s burning on industrial timber lands and has damaged two pieces of logging equipment.

The fire is not threatening homes in the southwest Oregon community.

Reed says firefighters on Wednesday will finish making a trail around the fire and then begin the mop-up phase.

Investigators are still trying to determine what started the blaze.
