A large Washougal home was damaged by fire this morning.

The fire was reported at 9:47 a.m. at 3715 T Circle. Camas-Washougal firefighters arrived to find a second-floor bedroom on fire. The entire floor was filled with smoke, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Firefighters were able to attack the blaze and limit the fire damage to the bedroom, firefighters said. Other firefighters searched the two-story home, which also has a basement, and were able to verify everyone was out.

The fire was declared under control at 10:10 a.m. A county fire marshal has been summoned to investigate the cause.

County property records indicate the home has a little more than 3,600 square feet and was built in 1986. It is owned by a Portland woman. The assessed value of the structure is $272,100.
