Letter: Bad timing for pay raise

The Columbian
Published: May 11, 2015, 5:00pm

Good for the Washington state legislators, some of whom are able to select half the members of the salary commission, which can vote them a proposed 11 percent pay increase. I understand legislators have not had a raise in several years. Maybe they can do the same for those on Social Security and retired military.

Who will receive the raise the commission votes in for them? That will be about 1.5 percent.
