• Daybreak Youth Services seeks volunteer help at its annual auction on May 30.

• Columbia Springs is looking for help with maintenance projects at the hatchery and education facilities on May 16.

• FISH of Vancouver seeks helpers to haul, sort, bag and distribute donated food and clothing at the food bank.

• Lifeline Connections is looking for a volunteer administrative assistant to help with phones, messages and filing.

• Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge is looking for environmental educators and cultural interpreters to provide information to the public. Volunteers may also lead groups on tours of the Cathlapotle Plankhouse and on short nature walks.

• Silver Buckle Ranch seeks volunteers for barn and ranch help, office assistance and with special programs.

• Vancouver Housing Authority seeks volunteers who are proficient in Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese to help with newsletters for clients.

Clark County Food Bank works to alleviate hunger in Clark County. For information about the following volunteer positions, contact the food bank at 360-693-0939 or volunteer@clarkcountyfoodbank.org.

• Food collectors: 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, collecting food from area grocery stores. Volunteers drive or ride in a 20-foot box truck. A commercial driver license is not required. This position includes filling out donation slips and lifting 40- to 50-pound boxes.

• Reception: Three-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoons, filing, answering phones, and greeting visitors and volunteers. Training is provided.

The Clark County Law Enforcement Officers’ and Fire Fighters’ Disability Board seeks to fill a two-year position for a term beginning Aug. 1.
