The Yacolt Town Council is whole again after the councilors filled a vacant Position 3 Monday night.
At their regular meeting, the remaining councilors agreed to appoint Nancy Tester to fill Lewis Gerhardt’s seat. Gerhardt left the council this spring.
Tester will serve through the end of the year, when the seat will open once again. She missed last week’s filing deadline to sign up for this year’s election.
Anthony Bronkhorst was the only candidate to file for the position. Assuming no write-in candidates edge out Bronkhorst in the election, he will hold onto the seat until 2017, when Gerhardt’s term was set to expire.
