SOUTH KITSAP 10, SKYVIEW 6 — A six-run fifth inning helped rally the Storm from a 10-0 deficit at the 4A regional at Everett Memorial Stadium, but it wasn’t enough.

South Kitsap jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first inning on five hits.

Skyview scored all its runs with two outs in the sixth. Brody Barnum knocked in two runs with a single, Andrew Meyer then hit an RBI single, Carson Huseby was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, and Leonard Barry, who was 3 for 3, knocked in two with a single.

But that would be all as Skyview had just one batter reach base over the final two innings.

MT. SPOKANE 6, COLUMBIA RIVER 5 — After Columbia River tied the game with a three-run top of the seventh, Mt. Spokane won the game with a walk-off single in the bottom of the inning at the 3A state regional at Whitworth University.

Columbia River started the seventh by stringing together three hits. Jake Skantel lead off with a double, Drew Moore singled and Jace McKinney singled. A bunt, error, sacrifice fly and fielder’s choice brought them home to tie the game.

Mt. Spokane answered with its own lead-off double. Columbia River then walked the next two batters. River pitcher Blake McKinney got a strikeout, but with the Chieftains outfield playing in, Mt. Spokane hit a deep fly over the defense to win the game.

McKinney was 3 for 4 with a double and scored two runs, and Alex McGarry was 2 for 3 with two RBI.

Columbia River finished it season with an 18-7 record.

CLE ELUM-ROSLYN 7, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN 1 — King’s Way was held to the one run on five hits, having reached the 1A state regional in East Wenatchee in its first varsity season.

Joshua Tully was 2 for 3 with a double and triple, and Thomas Martin drove in the Knights’ run in the sixth inning.
