Mural Society, students team up to paint electrical boxes

Esther Short — The Clark County Mural Society teamed up with students from Leadership Clark County for class project where students painted a mini murals on electrical boxes downtown.

The first part of the project saw the students work with the city and Vancouver’s Downtown Association to get a policy approved for painting on city-owned electrical boxes; the second part was the actual painting. The students painted murals on May 16 and 17 on boxes at the corners of Seventh Street and Washington Street and Eighth Street and Washington Street.

The students who painted the murals were Greta DuBois, of Vancouver School of Arts and Academia, Astrid DuBois (iTech Preparatory), Sydney Fox-Middleton (iTech Preparatory), Jenna Lyons (Chinook Elementary School), Alisa Ledbetter (Vancouver School of Arts and Academia) and Carlyann Reinmuth (Vancouver School of Arts and Academia).
