Two Camas teens were injured in a crash on state Highway 14 early Thursday morning.

Nicole Apperson, 17, was driving a 1999 Honda CRV east on the highway at about 12:40 a.m. in Vancouver when she lost control of the vehicle and struck the left side barrier, according to the Washington State Patrol.

She and her passenger, 16-year-old Raven Reynolds, were taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Reynolds was treated and released, but Apperson remains hospitalized in satisfactory condition.

Investigating troopers said the crash was caused by inattention, and Apperson was cited for having her wheels off the roadway.
